Edgar Gasca chose the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield because he wanted to 鈥渆xperience a close-knit community鈥� when entering college. On campus, he is part of the Necessary Steps Mentoring Program for first-generation students, the Sigma Lambda Beta fraternity, the Baile Monarcas and University Bible Fellowship. He says what he most likes about UIS is the great things happening at the Diversity Center and the people that he has met on campus. Following graduation from UIS, he plans to attend graduate school to earn his master鈥檚 degree in mental health counseling.
