University  of  �山����  Springfield&nbsp;will  offer  19  accelerated  online  and  blended  courses  over  the  holiday  break  for  prospective  and  current  students.  Most  classes  will  begin  Monday,  Dec.  14,  and  will  conclude  mid-January.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Ben  Paoletti  came  to  UIS  with  an  interest  in  civic  engagement.  He  is  a  resident  assistant  for  the  Leadership  for  Life  Service  Program  in  Lincoln  Residence  Hall.  Ben  has  also  become  the  vice  president  of  the  Alternative  Spring  Break  student  organization.  In  March,  he  traveled  to  Houston,  Texas  with  a  group  of  21  UIS  students  as  part  of  Alternative  Spring  Break  to  clean  up  Hurricane  Harvey  damage.  Along  with  Alternative  Spring  Break,  he  is  an  active  volunteer  for  Habitat  for  Humanity.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Navie  is  an  avid  resource  for  those  in  his  community.  He  spends  his  time  outside  of  class  volunteering  and  serving  as  president  of  the  Black  Male  Collegiate  Society  at  UIS.  Every  other  Friday,  Navie  spends  an  hour  mentoring  his  “little  brother”  at  Springfield’s  Matheny-Withrow  Elementary  School  through  the  Big  Brothers  Big  Sisters  Program.</div>
