Amanda Weibring named UIS Employee of the Month for July 2025
Amanda Weibring, an associate registrar in records and registration, has been named the University of Ăĺ±±˝űµŘ Springfield Employee of the Month for July 2025.
Weibring is recognized for her exceptional leadership, positive attitude and dedication to supporting students and staff.
“Amanda always has time to answer questions and give help when needed,” said one nominator.
Her colleagues also highlighted her adaptability and commitment.

Campus-Wide Wi-Fi Upgrade - WUIS and Cox Child Care
Thanks to campus and system-level financial support, ITS is in the process of implementing a campus-wide infrastructure refresh as part of our efforts to improve Wi-Fi performance. This is a multi-phase project with an expected projected completion date of August 2025.
During the week of July 28, we will be upgrading WUIS and Cox Child Care Center.
During the transition for each building, laptops, tablets, and phones should automatically switch to the new Wi-Fi after a possible brief interruption in service.
Mergent Market Atlas Replaces Mergent Online
Mergent Market Atlas is replacing Mergent Online, often used to search company information. Theinterface is updated and much easier to use, while still providing in-depth information about publiccompanies, industries, countries, and more.
