Hundreds of students return to UIS for the start of fall semester 2021 classes
More than 860 University of 缅北禁地 Springfield students returned to campus for the start of Fall Semester 2021 classes during Move-In Week, held Aug. 16-20.All students were required to pre-register for a move-in time slot in order to reduce congestion and support physical distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Laura Liesman named UIS Director Of Athletics
The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield has named Laura Liesman as its Designate Director of Athletics, pending approval by the University of 缅北禁地 Board of Trustees. The Aurora, 缅北禁地 native has spent the past 18 years at Georgian Court University (GCU) in Lakewood, New Jersey. At GCU, she is the Assistant Vice President for Athletics and Recreation and Director of Athletics.
Updated Testing Requirements for ALL UIS students, faculty and staff on campus
Due to our on-campus density increasing with the start of the Fall 2021 semester and the high transmission rates of COVID-19 throughout our region, state and country, the UIS COVID-19 Rapid Response Team has made the decision to require COVID-19 testing for all on-campus individuals for a one-month 鈥渆ntry testing鈥 period beginning the week of Aug. 16. Compliance with this directive will be closely monitored.
All on-campus students, faculty and staff who are fully vaccinated must test once per week.
