M.A. Alum Brings Digital Pedagogies to the Classroom
UIS English alum Courtney Cox is helping students find their voices in the composition classroom.
Cox is a doctoral student at Ăĺ±±˝űµŘ State University’s PhD in English Studies with a concentration in Rhetoric and Composition. While taking graduate classes Cox also teaches two sections of English 101: Composition as Critical Inquiry, the program’s first-year composition class.
SOA Faculty Present at American Anthropological Association in Washington D.C.
SOA Faculty presented at the annual meeting of the American Anthropological Association in Washington D.C., Nov. 29 – Dec. 3, 2017. SOA faculty members Sharon Graf and Lynn Fisher presented papers at the annual AAA meeting. Dr. Graf discussed her new research on tourism and cultural performance in Polynesia, and Dr. Fisher spoke as part of a panel on teaching about “race” in the anthropology curriculum.
