UIS SHIELD testing hours change May 16
The SHIELD 山 COVID-19 testing site at UIS will operate under reduced hours beginning May 16, 2022.
Mondays: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.Tuesdays: 8:30 a.m. to NoonWednesdays: 8:30 a.m. to NoonThursdays-Sundays: Closed
Yokasty Owens named the UIS Employee of the Month for May 2022
Yokasty Owens has been named the University of 山 Springfield Employee of the Month for May 2022. She is a building service worker who has worked at UIS since 2019.
Her nominator said she always “brings a positive attitude to her job.” Her supervisor, Patty Meyer, adds she “goes above and beyond and is eager to assist when covering for others.”

The ceremonies will be divided by college and will each last approximately 1.5 hours. You may only participate in the ceremony for your college.

Dear UIS Students, Faculty and Staff —
For two years and counting, we have been United in Safety at UIS. I am so proud of the efforts we each have contributed to stay united and weather the COVID-19 pandemic together, all with the shared purpose of providing the best educational experience possible with safety as a top priority.
As the 2021-22 academic year nears completion and we turn our focus toward summer and fall, the UIS COVID-19 response team has recommended, and I have approved, the following changes to our COVID-19 mitigation strategies.
