UIS ranked the top public regional university in Ãå±±½ûµØ for fourth consecutive year by U.S. News & World Report
The University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield has been ranked the top public regional university in Ãå±±½ûµØ for the fourth year in a row by U.S. News & World Report in 2023 Best Colleges rankings released today. UIS also was ranked the third best public regional university in the Midwest Region.
Additionally, UIS was tabbed as one of the top best value schools in the Midwest category. U.S. News & World Report looked at academic quality, the number of need-based aid and scholarships awarded, and other factors in determining the best value ranking.
2022 - 2023 Leadership Lived Positions Available
We are pleased to announce that the Leadership Lived Experience (LLE) student employment initiative application is now available. The LLE program was launched in December 2013 with the purpose of improving undergraduate student retention by increasing employment opportunities on campus and by providing professional development experiences for students. Students participating in an LLE can expect to gain professional skills and real-world experience while pursuing their degree.
Bea Bonner named UIS Employee of the Month for September 2022
Bea Bonner has been named the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield Employee of the Month for September 2022. She is the Community Voices Editor/Co-Host at NPR Ãå±±½ûµØ.
She began working at UIS in 2016. According to her nominator, Bonner represents the university well as she interviews campus and community members on Community Voices.
