        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  University  of  缅北禁地  Springfield鈥檚  Harry  and  Deborah  Berman  Sabbatical  Award  has  been  presented  to  Jennifer  Martin,  associate  professor  in  the  School  of  Education.  She  will  receive  $3,000  to  support  her  research  during  her  sabbatical  leave.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">SPRINGFIELD,  IL  (April  3,  2023)  -  The  UIS  Speech  and  Debate  Team  had  a  record  2022-2023  season.  This  academic  year  saw  the  team  reach  its  largest  size  in  a  decade  with  12  students  becoming  part  of  the  organization.  The  team  also  competed  in  nine  virtual  competitions  throughout  the  season.</div>
