UIS  breaks  ground  on  new  Library  Commons  building
        
        The  University  of  Ăĺ±±˝űµŘ  Springfield  held  a  groundbreaking  ceremony  on  Sept.  19  for  its  new  Library  Commons,  a  $42.5  million,  three-story,  52,000-square-foot  facility  designed  to  transform  the  student  experience.
     
  
 
    
                    
    
        Conflict  of  Interest  Form  for  Civil  Service  Employees
        
        Under Regulation  16.011  under  Policy  and  Rules, civil  service  staff  are  now  required  to  submit  a  conflict  of  interest  form  annually.  A communication was  recently  sent  to  all  Civil  Service  employees  alerting  them  to  the  reporting  requirement.
     
  
  
 
    
    
        Prairie  Stars  Draw  in  Road  Test  at  Truman
        
        The  Ăĺ±±˝űµŘ  Springfield  women's  soccer  team  battled  to  a  1-1  draw  with  Truman  State  on  Sunday  afternoon  in  Kirksville,  Mo.  The  Prairie  Stars  hold  steady  with  a  1-2-2  overall  record,  and  now  hold  a  0-1-1  GLVC  mark.

The  opening  half  was  a  tactical  stalemate,  with  both  sides  creating  a  handful  of  chances  but  unable  to  convert.  UIS  goalkeeper  Gigi  Yurevich  earned  the  start  and  kept  the  Bulldogs  off  the  board  in  the  first  period.
     
  
 
    
    
        High-Scoring  Affair  in  Kirksville  Goes  Prairie  Stars’  Way
        
        The  UIS  men's  soccer  team  put  together  an  explosive  offensive  performance  Saturday,  earning  a  5-3  victory  over  Truman  State  in  Great  Lakes  Valley  Conference  play.  The  Prairie  Stars  improve  to  2-3-1  overall,  1-2  in  the  GLVC.
