I am excited to announce that we are planning another on-campus Professional Development Retreat for faculty and staff as part of our Rise initiative. This retreat will take place on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, and will focus on Workplace Communication. Registration opens today and closes on Jan. 15, 2025.

UIS Men鈥檚 Basketball Secures Victory Over Purdue Northwest in Final Seconds
The UIS men's basketball team improved to 5-6 with a thrilling 80-78 win over Purdue Northwest in Hammond, Ind., on Wednesday night.聽
"I'm so proud of our guys' resilience tonight," head coach Matt Brock said. "We led for a lot of the second half, then went down, but they still believed in each other. I thought our second group鈥擭ate [Shockey], Tye [Banks], and Isaiah [Esker]鈥攚ere key to the victory."
UIS names Drew Schlosser assistant vice chancellor for human resources
The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield has named Drew Schlosser assistant vice chancellor for human resources, effective Jan. 16.
Schlosser brings over a decade of experience in higher education human resources, specializing in labor and employee relations. He currently serves as the Associate Director of Employee Relations & HR for the University of 缅北禁地 Urbana-Champaign Facilities and Services Office, where he oversees human resources operations for more than 1,400 employees.
