Critical Need to Reduce Natural Gas Consumption
Dear UIS Campus Community,
The university needs everyone to help minimize natural gas usage on campus through next week.
The university has been notified by its natural gas supplier of a high likelihood that a natural gas Operational Flow Order (OFO) will be issued. While UIS works daily to reduce its carbon footprint and minimize natural gas consumption, this week presents an especially critical challenge. Any natural gas usage exceeding the university’s contractual allowance incurs significantly high costs during an OFO.

Jason Keran Named UIS Employee of the Month for December 2024
University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield has named Jason Keran, a mailing equipment operator and expeditor for Campus Services, as the Employee of the Month for December 2024.
Keran, who joined UIS in November 2018, manages daily mail center operations, including sorting and delivering mail, processing mail lists and handling transactions with the United States Postal Service.
