Apply Now for Federal, State and Institutional Financial Aid for the 2023-2024 Academic Year
The time to apply for financial aid for Academic Year 2023-2024 (Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and Summer 2024) by completing the (FAFSA) began October 1, 2022. The Office of Financial Assistance encourages all UIS students to apply by December 1, 2022, to avoid missing any grant opportunities.

There are several types of financial aid that students can use to help pay for college.

It is the mission of the UIS Office of Financial Assistance to provide financial aid resources to students, administer aid programs with the highest integrity, and provide first-class customer service.

When Will I Receive My Financial Aid?
Financial aid is disbursed to your student account no earlier than 10 days prior to the start of the semester if your file is complete as explained below. Student can expect their excess of funds (refunds) to be deposited into their bank account prior to the Friday before the start of the semester, if not a little sooner. The University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield has adopted this Student Loan Code of Conduct to serve as the formal guiding principles in ensuring the integrity of the student aid process and ethical conduct of employees who work in the office of Financial Assistance and all other University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield employees, including agents of the University, who have responsibilities related to educational loans or other forms of student financial aid. The Student Loan Code of Conduct has been established to meet the requirements contained in the 2008 Higher Education Opportunity Act.
