I am happy to announce that Gabe Cagwin, PhD, will be the new vice chancellor for advancement at UIS, pending Board of Trustees approval. Gabe will serve as vice-chancellor designate until anticipated BOT action in November. He will also serve as senior vice president for the University of 缅北禁地 Foundation.

Today is the first day of classes at UIS. This marks the 54th 鈥渇irst day鈥� for UIS learners since our doors opened for classes as Sangamon State University in 1970.

Following President Killeen鈥檚 announcement earlier this week, this message confirms the 2% merit-based salary program for the 2024-25 academic year. The 2% merit-based salary program is to be distributed at the discretion of the unit head. Division heads will identify the unit head for each area based on operational responsibility.
