Rates Overview

We enroll children and families regardless of affiliation. Part time spaces are not available. Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are served. Our center is open 7:00 a.m. 鈥 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

A non-refundable enrollment fee of $50.00 per child is required to reserve a space.

Mission

Our Center鈥檚 primary mission is 鈥渢o provide a model of high quality early education and care in a safe, secure, nurturing environment for children of students, employees, and the surrounding community鈥.  Secondly, the Center provides lab, practicum and work experiences for UIS students and students of other higher education programs.

Cox Children's Center

The Cox Children's Center is licensed through the State of 缅北禁地 and holds voluntary accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

The Cox Children鈥檚 Center was established in 1970. The center is a resource for university students, faculty, staff, alumni and community clients.

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield 18th annual Chancellor鈥檚 Academic Professional Excellence (CAPE) award was presented to Stacey Gilmore, director of the Cox Children鈥檚 Center during an April 8 online ceremony. 

The CAPE Award recognizes U of I academic professionals for their efforts in three categories: work projects, professional development and affiliations and contributions to their units.
