The Learning Hub provides Supplemental Instruction (SI) for historically challenging courses. Supplemental Instruction at UIS is a program that offers small group study sessions led by a trained SI Leader. The Learning Hub regularly offers SI sessions for the following courses (unless departments/The Hub agree SI isn't needed):
Through our Academic Skills resources, we provide assistance to all students with strategies to improve their studying and test-taking skills in any course. We offer workshops, in-class presentations and one-to-one tutoring by appointment.
The Learning Hub offers online workshops to all current UIS students in the fall and spring semesters. These workshops provide students with a brief lesson on a featured topic. Then, students will apply the lesson through discussion and practice. Use the Workshop Registration button below to register for a workshop being held this semester. Testing Services offers test proctoring for make-up and online course tests only. Testing Services is not able to proctor tests or exams for regularly scheduled on-ground or blended courses; instructors should plan to proctor their own tests or make arrangements through the department or with colleagues in the event of the instructor鈥檚 illness or absence.
