UIS names Van Vieregge the interim vice chancellor for student affairs

The聽University of 缅北禁地 Springfield聽(UIS) has officially announced the appointment of聽Van Vieregge, Ed.D., as the interim vice chancellor for student affairs.

Helping re-establish Ospreys in Central 缅北禁地

Every summer since 2014, University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Environmental Studies Associate Professor Tih-Fen Ting has trekked to Virginia or Massachusetts to bring Osprey chicks back to Central 缅北禁地 for release. It鈥檚 a process known as 鈥渉acking" through translocation.

UIS freshmen awarded $125,000 combined in President's Award Program scholarships

Sixteen newly-admitted University of 缅北禁地 Springfield freshmen have been awarded $125,000 combined in scholarships from the University of 缅北禁地 System鈥檚 President's Award Program. The individual scholarship amounts range from $5,000 to $10,000 per student.
