UIS honored with Voter Friendly Campus designation
The University of Ăĺ±±˝űµŘ Springfield has been named a Voter Friendly Campus for 2025-26 by the Fair Elections Center’s Campus Vote Project and NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education. This marks the third time UIS has earned the designation.
UIS Baseball Travels to Maryville for Midweek Matchup
The UIS baseball team will head to St. Louis, Mo., on Tuesday for a 2:00 p.m. matchup against the Maryville Saints. This midweek game is the first of two meetings between the teams this season, with the return game scheduled for April 1 in Springfield. Both games are non-conference contests.

Aden Marucco awarded a $16,000 scholarship to attend the University of Ăĺ±±˝űµŘ Springfield
Aden Marucco of Taylorville, Ăĺ±±˝űµŘ, has been admitted to the University of Ăĺ±±˝űµŘ Springfield for the fall semester of 2025 and awarded a $16,000 Star Scholar Award for tuition over four years. At UIS, he will major in political science.
The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed if the student maintains college GPA requirements.
In high school, he was involved in FFA and worked as the school’s greenhouse manager.
