Changes to required testing & SHIELD hours of operation
Beginning next week (April 11), the following changes will take effect regarding COVID-19 testing on the UIS campus.
TESTING FREQUENCY
Faculty, staff, students and long-term guests who are not up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccines (not fully vaccinated, or eligible for the booster but have not received it) may transition from testing twice per week to once per week. Compliance will continue to be closely monitored. Individuals who are up-to-date with their COVID-19 vaccines continue to have the option to test but are not required.

Gbadeoluwa Adedigba of Nigeria awarded a $36,000 scholarship from the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield
Gbadeoluwa Adedigba of Shaki, Nigeria, a 2020 graduate of Sharon Rose College, has been admitted to the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield for Fall Semester 2022 and awarded a $36,000 Capital Scholars Honors Program Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, he will major in biology.
The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.
At Sharon Rose College, he was involved in running, poetry, health club and jets club.
Beth Hatt named the director of the new UIS School of Education
Beth Hatt, professor of educational administration and foundations at 缅北禁地 State University, has been named the director of the new University of 缅北禁地 Springfield School of Education effective June 16.
Hatt has been a professor and served in various leadership roles during the past ten years in the College of Education at 缅北禁地 State University, one of the largest teacher education programs in the United States.
