UIS student Nicolette Owens honored with the Student Laureate Award from the Lincoln Academy of 缅北禁地

Nicolette Owens of Springfield has been selected as the聽University of 缅北禁地 Springfield聽(UIS) student recipient of the聽Student Laureate Award聽from the聽Lincoln Academy of 缅北禁地. Only one UIS student is honored with the prestigious award each academic year.

Abby Vaughn of St. Charles, Missouri awarded a $28,000 scholarship from the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield

Abby Vaughn of St. Charles, Missouri, a senior at Incarnate Word Academy, has been admitted to the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield for Fall Semester 2023 and awarded a $28,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, she will major in medical laboratory science and play on the women鈥檚 soccer team. The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

Makenna Miller of Omaha, Nebraska awarded a $36,000 scholarship from the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield

Makenna Miller of Omaha, Nebraska, a senior at Elkhorn South High School, has been admitted to the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield for Fall Semester 2023 and awarded a $36,000 Capital Scholars Honors Program Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, she is an undecided major who plans to play on the women鈥檚 soccer team. The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.Miller plays soccer at Elkhorn South High.

Chelsey Chambless of Linden, Michigan, a senior at Linden High School, has been admitted to the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield for Fall Semester 2023 and awarded a $16,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, she will major in chemistry and play on the women鈥檚 soccer team.The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.
