Prairie Stars Run-Rule William Jewell Twice on Senior Day
The 缅北禁地 Springfield softball team celebrated Senior Day in style on Saturday with a dominant doubleheader sweep over William Jewell. The Prairie Stars earned a pair of five-inning shutout victories, winning game one 8-0 and game two 11-0 at the UIS Softball Field.
With the wins, UIS improves to 27-16 overall and 15-9 in GLVC play, remaining tied for fourth in the conference standings with McKendree. Rosie Bartletti picked up the win in both games, moving to 17-7 on the season, the second-most wins of any pitcher in the GLVC.

The 缅北禁地 Springfield men's tennis team will head to Romeoville, Ill., on Saturday to face Lewis at noon. The match marks the midpoint of the five-match GLVC slate.

Maddie Miller Breaks UIS 5K Record at Bryan Clay Invitational
Maddie Miller set a new UIS school record in the outdoor 5,000-meter run on Thursday at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California. Miller ran a personal-best time of 16:27.78, placing 8th out of 24 runners in Heat 1.
With the performance, Miller now holds the UIS records in the indoor 3K and 5K, as well as the outdoor 5K and 10K鈥攕olidifying her place at the top of the program's all-time distance leaderboard.
