The  Springfield  area  is  forecasted  to  receive  its  first  significant  snowfall  of  the  season  tonight  through  Tuesday  evening.  The  university  does  not  anticipate  any  changes  to  campus  operations;  however,  this  is  the  time  of  year  to  reacclimate  ourselves  with  UIS’  inclement  weather  procedures.



As  a  matter  of  policy,  UIS  does  not  close  due  to  inclement  weather  except  under  the  most  extraordinary  conditions.  However,  periods  of  inclement  weather  often  result  in  conditions  that  make  travel  difficult  and  at  times  hazardous.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">University  of  Ãå±±½ûµØ  Springfield  Assistant  Professor  of  Computer  Science  Xiang  Huang,  from  the  College  of  Health,  Science,  and  Technology,  has  been  selected  as  one  of  the  recipients  in  a  joint  research  initiative  with  National  Taiwan  University  (NTU).  This  collaborative  effort,  launched  in  August  2023,  aims  to  drive  innovation  and  foster  interdisciplinary  research  between  the  institutions.</div>
