        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Ãå±±½ûµØ  Springfield  baseball  team  came  out  on  top  in  a  high-scoring  opener  at  McKendree,  winning  13-10  on  Thursday  afternoon.  The  Prairie  Stars  improve  to  31-14  overall  and  21-7  in  GLVC  play.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Ãå±±½ûµØ  Springfield  softball  team  opened  the  GLVC  Tournament  with  a  strong  statement,  taking  down  No.  4  seed  McKendree  7-2  on  Wednesday  afternoon  at  the  EastSide  Centre.  The  win  marked  the  Prairie  Stars'  first  conference  tournament  victory  since  2019  and  improved  their  record  to  30-18  on  the  season.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  softball  team  was  recognized  with  three  All-GLVC  selections  on  Wednesday,  as  Rosie  Bartletti  and  Ella  Brinkley  were  named  to  the  First  Team  and  Taylor  Zawacki  earned  a  spot  on  the  Second  Team.  The  announcement  came  after  the  team's  7-2  victory  over  McKendree  in  the  opening  round  of  the  GLVC  Tournament,  which  improved  the  team's  record  to  30-18.

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  women's  track  and  field  team  will  compete  in  the  2025  Great  Lakes  Valley  Conference  Outdoor  Championships  this  week,  hosted  by  Lewis  in  Romeoville,  Ill.  The  three-day  event  will  take  place  Thursday  through  Saturday,  May  1–3.

Entries
UIS  will  be  represented  in  a  variety  of  distance  and  middle-distance  events  throughout  the  meet,  beginning  with  the  1,500-meter  preliminaries  on  Thursday.  A  mix  of  returners  and  fresh  faces  will  take  the  track  in  Lillian  Buzani,  Marissa  Roggensack,  and  Josslyn  Gaona.</div>
