As  I  reach  the  one-year  mark  since  I  joined  the  UIS  team  on  June  16,  2024,  I  wanted  to  share  some  thoughts  on  the  first  year  and  open  a  new  channel  of  communication  that  I  plan  to  use  more  often  in  the  coming  year.

What  was  your  overall  UIS  experience  like?



I  attended  UIS  to  earn  my  MPA.  I  was  a  part  time  student  who  was  working  on  political  campaigns  like  Governor  Bruce  Rauner's  successful  election  in  2014.  While  at  UIS  I  volunteered  as  a  coach  for  the  undergraduate  mock  trial  team.  I  was  also  a  paid  English  tutor  working  at  the  CLT.</div>
