UIS Baseball Lands Six on All-GLVC Teams
Six members of the 缅北禁地 Springfield baseball team were named to the All-GLVC teams on Tuesday, including five first-team selections. The Prairie Stars will begin GLVC Championship Tournament play on Wednesday afternoon.

UIS honors outstanding faculty at 2025 Faculty Honors Celebration
The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield celebrated faculty achievements during the 2025 Faculty Honors Celebration held May 6 in the Student Union Ballroom. Chancellor Janet L. Gooch and Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Brandon E. Schwab presided over the annual event, which recognizes excellence in teaching, service, scholarship and community engagement.
Prairie Stars Return to Marion for GLVC Baseball Tournament
The 缅北禁地 Springfield baseball team has secured the No. 2 seed in the 2024 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Championship Tournament and will face seventh-seeded Missouri S&T in the opening round on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. in Marion, Ill. The matchup is game three of the tournament, hosted for the third straight year at Mountain Dew Park.
A win would advance UIS to Thursday's 4:00 p.m. game, while a loss would place them in the tournament's first elimination game at 9:00 a.m. Thursday.
