Nathan Ptak serves as community service coordinator for the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity chapter at the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield, works for UIS Campus Recreation and is a member of Leadership for Life Service Program. He was recently awarded the STAR student volunteer award at the Good as Gold ceremony. 鈥淚 chose UIS simply for the community and how interconnected and helpful it is, reminding me of my hometown,鈥� he said. 鈥淚 like how UIS gives you the space to grow as a person and lets you explore your interests through different organizations.鈥� Following graduation from UIS, he plans to earn a master鈥檚 degree in accounting, while working full-time.
