Study shows the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield has a significant economic impact on the community
A new study shows how the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield is creating a significant positive impact on the state and area economy.
In Fiscal Year 2021 (July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021), UIS added $694.2 million in income to the Ãå±±½ûµØ economy. Expressed in terms of jobs, UIS’ impact supported 6,909 jobs. That is according to the study conducted by Economic Modeling Specialists International (EMSI), a nationally known research firm that has conducted economic impact studies for colleges and universities across the country.
UIS Music Program Presents Black Classical Composers
The University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Music Program presents "Black Classical Composers: A Lecture-Demonstration With Violinist Chenoa Murphy" as part of its First Tuesday Brown Bag Concert Series. The event will take place on Tuesday, September 06, 12pm in the Student Union Ballroom Lobby. It is Free and open to the public.
Road Closure - Vachel Lindsay - August 31 & September

Vachel Lindsay Drive will be closed Wednesday, August 31 at 12 noon and re-open Thursday September 1 at 12 noon.
Please use Ernest Hemingway Drive and University Drive to access campus during this time.
Residents of West Campus may access the parking lot using 11th Street and the first parking lot entrance on Vachel Lindsay.
