        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  men's  basketball  team  won  its  second  game  of  the  2024-25  season  on  Sunday  afternoon,  defeating  Wisconsin-Parkside  60-43  at  the  Midwest  Regional  Crossover.  UIS  improves  to  2-0,  while  Parkside  falls  to  0-2.

Head  coach  Matt  Brock  was  pleased  with  the  win,  saying,  "We  are  playing  strong  and  physical.  43  points  from  a  team  who  beat  us  last  year  is  a  good  defensive  performance  for  us.  Offensively,  we  can  and  will  do  better.  Overall,  good  weekend  for  us!"

The  Prairie  Stars  start  the  season  1-0  while  Roosevelt  drops  to  0-1.  UIS  extends  its  streak  to  23  consecutive  home-opener  victories.</div>

This  result  extends  the  team's  streak  of  top-10  finishes  in  every  regional  meet  since  2018,  underscoring  the  program's  consistent  strength  in  the  Midwest  region.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  men's  soccer  team  fought  to  the  end  in  the  GLVC  quarterfinals  but  ultimately  fell  3-2  in  overtime  to  Maryville  on  Sunday.  In  a  tightly  contested  match,  the  Prairie  Stars  equalized  twice,  only  to  have  the  game  decided  by  a  sudden  victory  goal  from  the  Saints.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Ãå±±½ûµØ  Springfield  women's  cross  country  team  raced  at  the  NCAA  DII  Midwest  Regional  Championship  on  Saturday,  Nov.  9,  at  the  Lewis  Cross  Country  Course  in  Romeoville,  Ill.  The  Prairie  Stars  finished  13th  in a  tough  field  of  competition,  including  several  top-10  nationally  ranked  programs  and  regional  powerhouses.
