        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Miriam  Wallace,  dean  of  the  College  of  Liberal  Arts  and  Social  Sciences  at  the  University  of  Ãå±±½ûµØ  Springfield,  has  been  elected  to  the  executive  council  of  the  Modern  Language  Association  (MLA).  Wallace  will  serve  a  four-year  term,  concluding  in  2029.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Ãå±±½ûµØ  Springfield  women's  basketball  team  was  defeated  77-43  by  Parkside  on  Saturday  afternoon  at  TRAC.  Kayla  Rice  and  Emari  Doby  led  the  Prairie  Stars  with  15  points  each,  but  the  team  struggled  offensively  against  the  Rangers.</div>
