Yaneli Betancourt chose the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield for its pathway to earn a nursing degree through the . She is actively involved on campus as a member of Women of Distinction, the Organization of Latin American Students, the Student Nurses Association and Baile Monarcas. Additionally, she works at the UIS Diversity Center. Yaneli particularly enjoys being part of the Necessary Steps mentoring program, where she finds support as a first-generation student. After graduation, she plans to attend graduate school to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist.
