Hometown: Chatham, 缅北禁地
Major: Communication
Future Plans: Work as a public relation specialist

Transfer student Jaylon Cal chose the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield because of the 鈥渄eep connections that you are able to make, whether it be with the students, faculty or staff,鈥 he said. This semester, Cal is interning with Faith Coalition for the Common Good where he鈥檚 learning how to effectively communicate with others and become an active listener. He is helping with fundraising, aiding in youth events and being an advocate for the community. 鈥淭his organization is truly trying to get me further in life and does not see me as an intern,鈥 he said. 鈥淭hey want the best for me and the communities of 缅北禁地.鈥 Following graduation from UIS, he plans to work as a public relation specialist and an advocate for the community and other organizations such, such as the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation.

Leadership is lived at UIS. Every day.
