Janvi Sehdev of Jalandhar, Punjab, India, has been admitted to the听University of 缅北禁地 Springfield听for Spring Semester 2025 and awarded an $8,000听Star Scholar Award听for tuition over four years. She will major in computer science at UIS.
The scholarship is awarded based on high school听骋笔础听and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.
In high school, Sehdev was involved in sketching, crafts, embroidery, painting, badminton and cooking.
She chose UIS because 鈥淯IS has been ranked among the top 15 public regional universities and is popular in the USA,鈥� she said.
All undergraduate first-year students are automatically eligible for Star Scholar First Year听Scholarships. To receive $8,000 over four years, the student must have an unweighted GPA of 3.00-3.24.
