Hasani Cannon enjoys the 鈥渂ond and relationships鈥� he鈥檚 formed within the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield community calling them 鈥渓ong lasting and invaluable to my journey to success.鈥� On campus, he is president of the African Student Association, Afro-Beat Dance Crew and the Art Student League. He is a mentor and member of the Necessary Steps Program and a member of the Black Male Collegiate Society. 鈥淚 like the small, intimate class sizes that makes my interactions with staff, faculty, and with my fellow peers feel personal and memorable,鈥� he said about UIS. 鈥淭he cost was also more attainable compared to other schools and it鈥檚 not too far from my hometown. I like and appreciate the serenity the campus provides.鈥� Following graduation, he plans to earn a master鈥檚 degree in drawing and painting and become an art professor.
