The 缅北禁地 Springfield women's soccer program has unveiled its 2025 schedule, the second under head coach Scott Myers. The slate includes eight home contests at Kiwanis Stadium, giving fans plenty of opportunities to support the Prairie Stars throughout the fall.

"I am excited to enter the fall campaign with some quality opponents from across several conferences to help us prepare for the challenging GLVC," said head coach Scott Myers. "The GLVC is one of the top conferences in the country, with four teams earning berths into the NCAA Tournament last season, and every game will challenge our young roster.聽

"We feel our returning players, as well as the incoming class, will be up for the challenge with a strong non-conference slate. Away contests against Kentucky Wesleyan and West Alabama at the start of the season will help us prepare and tune up ahead of the GLVC kickoff with William Jewell.

"Our goal this year is to continue the upward trajectory of the program, return to postseason play, and advance into the second round of the GLVC Tournament."

The Prairie Stars begin their campaign with three preseason scrimmages. Two will be held at Kiwanis Stadium and offer free admission to fans. The first is the team's Navy and Gold Scrimmage at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, which falls during the first week of classes at UIS. The men's soccer team will follow that evening with a scrimmage against 缅北禁地 College, making it a doubleheader for Prairie Star fans.

UIS will travel to Greenville for its second scrimmage on Monday, August 25, then return home to host NCAA Division II opponent Roosevelt on Sunday, Aug. 31.

The regular season begins on the road in Owensboro, Ky. UIS will face host school Kentucky Wesleyan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, and then take on West Alabama at noon on Sunday, Sept.聽7.

The Prairie Stars open their home slate on Wednesday, Sept. 10, against Ohio Dominican. Last year's meeting between the two teams resulted in a 1-1 draw in Columbus, Ohio.

After wrapping up non-conference play, UIS begins GLVC action on Sunday, Sept. 14, at home against William Jewell. The following weekend features a split schedule, with a Homecoming match against Quincy on Friday, Sept. 19, and a road trip to Truman State on Sunday, Sept. 21.

UIS will continue its road stretch the following weekend with matches at Rockhurst on Friday, Sept. 26, and at Southwest Baptist on Sunday, Sept. 28. The Prairie Stars return home in early October to host Drury on Friday, Oct. 3, and Missouri S&T on Sunday, Oct. 5.

The team will travel again the following weekend, visiting Lincoln on Friday, October 10, and Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday, October 12.

UIS closes the home portion of its regular season with three matches against top GLVC opponents. The Prairie Stars host Maryville on Friday, Oct. 17, and McKendree on Sunday, Oct. 19. Following a Friday bye, the team will play its final home match on Sunday, Oct.聽26, against Indianapolis.

The regular season concludes with a pair of road matches at Lewis on Friday, Oct. 31, and at Upper Iowa on Sunday, Nov. 2.

The GLVC Championship Tournament begins on Sunday, Nov. 9, with quarterfinals hosted by the top four teams. The semifinals and championship match are scheduled for November 14 to 16. The NCAA Tournament is set to begin on Thursday, Nov. 20, at campus sites of qualifying teams.

A Season Ago
The Prairie Stars went 8-7-3 overall, including an 8-5-1 conference record in fall 2024. UIS hit its stride in conference play after a 0-2-1 start against non-conference opponents. The team won three in a row to close out the regular season, but fell 3-1 to McKendree in a valiant GLVC quarterfinal effort.

Allison Mirimanian, Brooke Biffar, and Katelynn Ward were Third Team All-GLVC selections in 2024, Ward returns as a senior in fall 2025.聽
