On April 9, 2012, supporters of the Downstate 缅北禁地 Innocence Project gathered at the听听in Springfield to honor award recipients for the past year. The honorees were:
- 听鈥撎�Award-winning Attorney & author:听for his contributions as an attorney in innocence cases, his tireless work toward the abolition of the flawed death penalty system in 缅北禁地, and his writing, which educates the general public to these issues and enhances understanding of our legal system
- 听and the assistance of听Professors Steve Beckett and Andy Leipold听and their students: for their contributions by working on the Project鈥檚 cases
- 听and the assistance of听Professors Bill Schroeder and Chris Behan and their students: for their contributions by working on the Project鈥檚 cases
