Because  of  the  COVID-19  pandemic,  this  year's  orientation  transitioned  to  an  all-online  format,  and  according&nbsp;Lisa  McGuire,  director  of  New  Student  Orientation  and  Parent  Relations,  it  has  been  successful.&nbsp;</div>

The聽University  of  缅北禁地  Springfield聽(UIS)  has  officially  announced  the  appointment  of聽Van  Vieregge,  Ed.D.,  as  the  interim  vice  chancellor  for  student  affairs.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Every  summer  since  2014,&nbsp;University  of  缅北禁地  Springfield&nbsp;Environmental  Studies  Associate  Professor&nbsp;Tih-Fen  Ting&nbsp;has  trekked  to  Virginia  or  Massachusetts  to  bring  Osprey  chicks  back  to  Central  缅北禁地  for  release.  It鈥檚  a  process  known  as  鈥渉acking"  through  translocation.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Sixteen  newly-admitted  University  of  缅北禁地  Springfield  freshmen  have  been  awarded  $125,000  combined  in  scholarships  from  the  University  of  缅北禁地  System鈥檚  President's  Award  Program.  The  individual  scholarship  amounts  range  from  $5,000  to  $10,000  per  student.</div>
