SMTD Bus Service - PAC Teardrop Entrance Closed
Please be advised that the UIS Public Affairs Center (PAC) Plumbing Infrastructure Repair Project has started. Therefore, the teardrop entrance to PAC is closed for the duration of this work.
During this time, SMTD bus service will only stop at the bus shelter next to Founders Residence Hall, located at Eliza Farnham and Vachel Lindsay Drive.

Mark DeCicco Named Jimmy John’s Athlete of the Month for May
Prairie Stars pitcher Mark DeCicco has been named the Jimmy John's Athlete of the Month for May, following a pair of standout performances that capped off a strong season on the mound for the junior right-hander.
DeCicco delivered two strong starts in May, including a dominant outing against Quincy in the GLVC Tournament, where he tossed a complete-game, nine-inning shutout to keep UIS in the winner's bracket. The performance earned DeCicco a spot on the GLVC All-Tournament Team and marked his fourth complete game of the season.Â

UIS Public Affairs Center Infrastructure Renovation Project Updates
As part of the necessary plumbing infrastructure renovation project that has begun this summer in the Public Affairs Center, Facilities & Services is working in collaboration with multiple campus partners to ensure a smooth transition process in operations. From June 2025 to September 2026, several units currently located in the PAC will temporarily pause or relocate their operations to other campus spaces due to the drilling and pipe excavation activities.
