UIS Lincoln expert to speak at Chancellor’s Thinkers Series
WHAT: University of Ăĺ±±˝űµŘ Springfield Chancellor Janet L. Gooch will discuss the enduring legacy of President Abraham Lincoln during a Thinkers Series event featuring Jacob Friefeld, director of the UIS Center for Lincoln Studies. Friefeld was recently featured as a historical expert on the HBO Max and Magnolia Network series “Back to the Frontier.”

UIS Men’s Golf Set to Begin Fall Campaign at UMSL’s Arch Cup
The Ăĺ±±˝űµŘ Springfield men's golf team is set to kick off its fall season at the Arch Cup, taking place on Tuesday, Sept. 2. The event will begin with tee times starting at 8:00 a.m. at Gateway National Golf Club in Madison, Ill.
This competition marks a significant milestone as it is the first for UIS under the direction of the program's new head coach, Josh Edison. Coach Edison steps into his role with the team bringing a fresh perspective to the UIS golf program.
