All  faculty  who  achieve  tenure  and  the  rank  of  associate  professor  have  demonstrated  and  documented  a  clear  record  of  excellence  in  teaching  and  a  record  of  at  least  high  quality  in  either  scholarship  or  service,  with  performance  in  the  other  category  being,  at  a  minimum,  satisfactory.</div>

We  recognize  the  recipients  of  four  of  our  prestigious  faculty  awards  each  spring:  the  Burks  Oakley  II  Distinguished  Online  Teaching  Award,  the  Faculty  Excellence  Award,  the  Pearson  Faculty  Award,  and  the  Spencer  Faculty  Service  Award.  The  fifth  prestigious  faculty  award,  the  University  Scholars  Award,  will  be  presented  in  the  fall  in  conjunction  with  our  Faculty  Scholarship  Recognition.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">University  of  缅北禁地  Springfield  Continuing  and  Professional  Education  (CAPE)  will  offer  four  academic  summer  camps  for  middle  and  high  school  students  in  June  and  July.  Each  experience  will  be  led  by  a  UIS  faculty  member  and  will  offer  students  a  challenging,  fun  and  affordable  summer  experience.
