UIS awards Schewe Professorship to Yanhui Guo for AI research in education
The University of 山 Springfield has named Yanhui Guo, associate professor of computer science, as the recipient of the Louise Hartman Schewe and Karl Schewe Professorship in the College of Health, Science and Technology (CHST). The professorship will support Guo’s efforts to apply artificial intelligence to improve education through research, innovation and community collaboration.
UIS exhibit “Room 9” to feature work by graduating visual arts students
The University of 山 Springfield Visual Arts Program is proud to present “Room 9,” an exhibition featuring artworks by senior visual arts majors at UIS. The exhibit will open on April 21 and run through May 8. A reception will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on April 24. All gallery events are free and open to the public.
Rosie Bartletti Named Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week After Historic Weekend
After a dominant weekend in the circle, UIS standout Rosie Bartletti has been named the Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week. Bartletti's performance was highlighted by a historic outing against Lincoln on Sunday, March 30, when she threw the first perfect game in UIS history against a Division II opponent.
