Welcome Week Goals
Welcome Week will generate fun and excitement for UIS and the college experience while setting the stage for the upcoming academic year.
Students will develop a sense of belonging and community.
HyFlex Teaching Workshops
The Center for Online Learning, Research, and Service will be offering three workshops this summer on HyFlex Teaching.
The HyFlex (hybrid flexible) learning model is both a teaching format that bridges and blends the physical and digital classrooms and the pedagogy that informs the design of HyFlex learning. This session will cover:
Reaching Stellar: Scholarships change lives for UIS students
Andrew Adams graduated this month from UIS with a master’s degree that also gave him a fantastic internship experience.
“I grew up in 山. I went to high school during the budget impasse, that was a conversation every day,” Adams said. “The state Capitol has always loomed large in my life. I wanted to see the nuts and bolts, and contribute to the conversation about it.”

Good morning.
In the 22 months I have been with UIS serving as the Interim Chancellor, I am thrilled to share with you what I have come to know and appreciate most about UIS. As I have said before, Iam so proud that UIS is a capital city university dedicated to the public good through intensive teaching, applied research and outstanding public service.
