Due to the Labor Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 5, the SHIELD testing site in WUIS 28 will be closed. The site will reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6.

On August 11, 2022, the Center for Lincoln Studies at the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield (UIS) unveiled Making Our History: Artists Render Lincoln’s Legacies, an innovative physical and digital art exhibit funded by the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Presidential Initiative: Expanding the Impact of the Arts and Humanities.

Study shows the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield has a significant economic impact on the community
A new study shows how the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield is creating a significant positive impact on the state and area economy.
In Fiscal Year 2021 (July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021), UIS added $694.2 million in income to the Ãå±±½ûµØ economy. Expressed in terms of jobs, UIS’ impact supported 6,909 jobs. That is according to the study conducted by Economic Modeling Specialists International (EMSI), a nationally known research firm that has conducted economic impact studies for colleges and universities across the country.
