        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Building  Service  Worker  Yokasty  Owens  has  been  named  the  2022  Employee  of  the  Year  at  the  University  of  Ãå±±½ûµØ  Springfield.  She  was  honored  during  a  reception  on  Jan.  19,  2023,  in  the  UIS  Student  Union.



Before  announcing  the  winner,  UIS  Chancellor  Janet  Gooch  thanked  the  eleven  Employees  of  the  Month  who  were  nominated  for  the  award.



Owens,  who  was  the  May  2022  Employee  of  the  Month,  is  known  for  going  above  and  beyond  her  responsibilities  to  help  people  in  need.</div>

Supervisor  Development  Series



Human  Resources  is  pleased  to  announce  a  new  Supervisor  Development  Series,  a  semester-long  series  of  trainings  that  will  generally  occur  on  the  last  Wednesday  morning  of  each  month.  A  tentative  schedule  is  included  below:</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">In  collaboration  with  INB,  Office  of  Engaged  Learning,  and  AEF  Faculty  members  Dr.  Karadas  and  Mr.  Saner,  UIS  launched  an  internship  course  for  the  Spring  2023  semester  in  which  students  will  participate  in  a  community  bank  case  study  competition.  Students  will  meet  with  the  senior  management  of  INB,  examine  the  bank's  data  and  operations,  complete  a  research  report  about  their  findings,  and  earn  internship  credits  along  the  way.
