On  February  16,  at  halftime  of  the  men’s  basketball  game,  student-athletes  who  have  achieved  a  3.4  or  higher  GPA  will  be  recognized  and  honored.  The  seniors  in  this  group  will  be  escorted  by  a  faculty  member  who  has  been  influential  at  UIS.&nbsp;  It  would  be  wonderful  if  faculty  members  could  be  in  attendance  to  witness  this  student-athlete  recognition.  Game  time  is  7:30  pm  Thursday.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  University  of  �山����  Springfield  and  Waubonsee  Community  College  (WCC)  in  Sugar  Grove,  �山����,  have  signed  a  transfer  pathway  agreement  that  will  ensure  a  smooth  transition  for  WCC  students  to  complete  their  bachelor’s  degrees  at  UIS.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  University  of  �山����  Springfield  will  offer  more  than  50  accelerated  courses  in  a  variety  of  formats,  including  online  and  on-campus,  for  prospective  and  current  students.  All  classes  will  begin  Monday,  March  20,  and  will  conclude  in  May.



“This  is  a  great  opportunity  for  new  UIS  students  to  start  or  finish  their  education,”  said  Vickie  Cook,  UIS  vice  chancellor  for  enrollment  and  retention  management.  “It’s  also  a  chance  for  current  students  to  add  to  their  course  load  and  potentially  earn  their  degree  in  a  shorter  period  of  time.”</div>
