Amanda Swigert awarded an $8,000 scholarship to attend the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield
Amanda Swigert of Decatur, 缅北禁地, has been admitted to the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield for Fall Semester 2024 and awarded an $8,000 Star Scholar Award for tuition over four years.
The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.
Swigert will major in elementary education. Following graduation from UIS, she plans to teach at a Title I school like Hope Academy in 缅北禁地.
Faculty and Staff Campaign Ends June 30

Ivan Dahlberg Selected to ABCA Midwest Region All-Defensive Team
Ivan Dahlberg, the sophomore starting catcher on the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield baseball team, was selected to the 2024 American Baseball Coaches Assosication (ABCA) NCAA Division II Midwest Region All-Defensive team. Dahlberg was one of four Great Lakes Valley Conference athletes selected to the team.
