Women鈥檚 Soccer Kicks Off Regular Season with Two Home Games
The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield women's soccer team will begin its 2024 regular season with two games coming against tough non-conference opponents. The Prairie Stars take on the Findlay Oilers on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. to open the season. UIS welcomes the Central Missouri Jennies on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. for the first-ever matchup between the two schools.聽

New medical laboratory science certificates coming to UIS

"There鈥檚 a new bridge program at the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield to help Central 缅北禁地 laboratories train more specialists to work in them.
UIS is offering medical laboratory certificates to students at the start of the fall semester. The university is offering certificates in four areas: clinical chemistry, hematology, immunohematology and medical microbiology.

"Steve Inskeep, the 'Morning Edition' host on National Public Radio, will be in Springfield later this summer to discuss his 2023 book on Abraham Lincoln.
The Mary and James Beaumont Endowed Lincoln Legacy Lecture Series focuses on Lincoln and political conflict and takes place at the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Student Union on Sept. 12.
Hatt: How UIS is helping address the teacher shortage in central 缅北禁地
