UIS Men’s Golf Battles Elements, Sits in Strong Position After Early GLVC Championship Play
The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield men's golf team got off to a promising start at the GLVC Championship in Bolivar, Mo. The Prairie Stars sit in a tie for seventh place after the opening round of stroke play, navigating wet course conditions, strong winds, and weather delays.
Julien Babineau, tied for fourth, reflected on his performance: "It was a really solid round today despite the rain and wind. I'm excited to put myself in a good position to compete for the rest of the tournament."

UIS Men’s Golf Heads to Bolivar for 2025 GLVC Championship
The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield men's golf team is set to compete in the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship on April 20-22 at Silo Ridge Golf & Country Club in Bolivar, Mo.
The GLVC Championship format includes 54 holes of stroke play over the first two days, with 36 holes scheduled for Sunday and the final 18 on Monday. The top four teams following stroke play will advance to medal/match play on Tuesday to determine the team champion. The individual medalist will be crowned based on the results of stroke play.
