UIS Baseball Takes Extra-Inning Win, Falls Short in Second Game vs. Tusculum
The UIS baseball team opened its weekend series with Tusculum with a wild split on Friday, securing a dramatic 10-5 extra-inning victory in game one before falling 14-5 in game two. The Prairie Stars, now 1-1, showed resilience in a back-and-forth first game but struggled to contain the Pioneers' offense in the second, as Tusculum, now 1-4, took advantage of UIS' defensive miscues to claim the win.
Miller’s Sub-5 Mile Highlights Strong Showing at Lewis Invite
The UIS women's track & field team delivered several standout performances at the Lewis Invite on Friday night, highlighted by Madelyn Miller's historic mile run. Miller became the first UIS runner to break the 5-minute barrier in the indoor mile with a time of 4:57.00, marking a new milestone for the program. Her performance currently ranks No. 55 in NCAA Division II as of Friday night.
