Michels Named to CSC Academic All-District Team
UIS senior Carly Michels has been named to the 2024 Academic All-District® Volleyball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
To qualify for this prestigious honor, nominees must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale and meet strict participation requirements, including playing in 90 percent of their institution's games or starting in 66 percent.

Madison Siefken enjoys the small campus environment and valuable opportunities at the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield. Siefken is a member of the UIS Volleyball team and works as a content creator for the UIS Office of Media Strategy. She chose UIS because of the location and the athletics program. After graduation, Siefken plans to start her career in the marketing field.
