        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  student  commencement  speaker  is  an  important  tradition  for  UIS.&nbsp;  All  graduating  students  are  invited  to  audition  for  this  honor  and  responsibility.&nbsp;  Auditions  will  be  scheduled  for  ZOOM  one  week  after  the  deadline.&nbsp;  Speeches  for  the  audition  should  be  no  longer  than  five  minutes  and  should  be  presented  in  their  entirety.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Dr.  Richard  Gilman-Opalsky  is  a  professor  of  political  science  at  the  University  of  �山����  Springfield.  He  sat  down  with  Community  Voices  to  discuss  his  career  and  provided  insight  into  what  we  can  learn  from  riots.  He  also  shared  his  experience  presenting  at  the  TEDx  presentation  held  at  the  UIS  campus  and  his  love  of  jazz  music.

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">No.  20  the  University  of  �山����  Springfield  baseball  team  hosted  Saginaw  Valley  State  in  the  Prairie  Stars  home  opener  Saturday.



UIS  scored  14  runs  in  the  seventh  and  eighth  innings.  Bobby  Barnard  led  the  team  with  four  hits.  Brandon  Bannon  recorded  four  RBI.
