Chicago Monuments Project
The City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) has awarded a grant of $50,000 for a Chicago Monuments Project (CMP) to Hinda Seif, Associate Professor of Sociology/Anthropology at University of 缅北禁地 Springfield, and Laurie Matheson, director of the University of 缅北禁地 Press.
FALL 2022 UIS Graduation Application Deadline is Monday, October 3 (APPLY NOW)
Students graduating in Fall 2022 or Spring 2023 must submit an online Graduation Application via Student Self-Service (https://apps.uillinois.edu/ - 鈥淕raduation鈥 tab) by October 3, 2022 (Fall 2022) or February 17, 2023 (Spring 2023). Students MUST be sure to verify that all curriculum information is listed accurately BEFORE submitting an online Graduation Application (including major, minor, concentration, etc.).
UIS Offering Accelerated Courses This Fall

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield has announced its schedule of accelerated courses that can allow students to pick up additional credits and possibly shorten the time needed to complete their degree.
Around 50 classes will be offered on an accelerated schedule from mid-October to early December. Course offerings include accountancy, business, communications, computer science, philosophy, teacher education, and more. The deadline to sign up is October 5th.
UIS raises $42.48 million

鈥淩eaching Stellar,鈥 the UIS fundraising campaign which started with a quiet phase in 2014, concluded on June 30th of this year, exceeding its $40,000,000 goal by more than 6%.
At an on-campus celebration Thursday night, the total amount was announced: $42,486,248.
